The Empire Post

Case Study- When Digby from The Empire Post wanted to create an online tutorial course in all things post-production he asked me to create imagery that reflected not only the many aspects of his process from sound design to using Da Vinci Resolve but also to capture his inimitable personality.

Using their beautiful space in Fortitude Valley each image talks to a part of the post production process, editing, planning, sound and grading.

What were the challenges with this job? Digby is a man who is most definitely on the tools and his on-line learning courses were designed to feel like a one on one learning experience. So he had to be front and centre in each shot.

Each image was crafted. The lighting was considered to give mood and drama but being a creative type himself Digby gave me free rein to execute the images the way I saw them in my head.

So what were the challenges again? There weren’t any really. I just got make lovely images for nice people. Job done!
